The true vine and the branches

Hello there, I'm glad you came back for more food.

I would like to start off with a quote from the Son of God from the book of John 14:1.
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

Why do we think that the Messiah told us this? Lets probe the bible a bit.... well the bible says that no man shall come to God except though his Son,(Jn.14:6). Therefore if we believe in God we must also believe in His Son.
Have you ever heard about the Vine and the branches? It is spoken off also in the book of John chapter 15. " I am the true vine (this is another title for the Son of God) and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit."

If we understand the concept of growing trees we would understand this bible verse. The more you prune a tree that bears, is the more that tree is going to bear again. In this case the vine is the Messiah and the branches are the people who believes in the Messiah and hence, follows Him. Most of us who believes in the Messiah will understand that without the Son of God in our lives we will be barren like a dried up tree and therefore not have God in us either.

The Father in Heaven is great and He wants us to be fruitful. Thats why He gave us His Son.
We're talking agriculture now . Stay tuned for the Story of the olive tree and the olive branch.

Is it too quick to jump to the idea that the vines are those who believe in the Son?

I don't even read John 14:6 to require belief, necessarily. My relationship to the scriptures is probably (almost certainly!) different than yours, though.

Thought provoking. Thanks.
