The Olive Tree and Olive Branches

Back for more food. Great! Let's eat.

Hey, have you ever heard the story of the natural and the wild olive branches? Well here is my take on it.

I'm sure you have heard the saying "...salvation has come to the gentiles..." Acts 28:28 and Rom.11:11.

Remember I had shared that the Hebrew word Yeshua means salvation. And by this name is how some people, myself included, know the Son of God. Okay, moving on. It has been said that Israel, not the country, but the people in the bible, are God's speacial treasure (Ps.135:4). In the reference it tells you that 'special treasure' is "His own possession/election".

Paul, who is an Israelite, says he is an apostle to the gentiles, he also asks the question, " Has God cast away his people?" then he answers the question, "Certainly not!" "What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded." We will discuss 'the elect' at another time.

As it is written:

"God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day." Rom. 11:8
Think about this bible verse for a minute...

The next time we speak again, we will reason this through. By the way, this is quite interesting, for both the Israelites (natural olive branches) and the gentiles ( wild olive branches).

Stay tuned so we can reason together and share more food.
Hope you're hungry!
