Baptism unto Repentance

Hello again, it's wonderful to have you back.

The last time we spoke was on baptism into the acceptance of the Son of God. If you truly believe in the Son of God you will believe in the words spoken by Him.
What is repentance? Repentance is when you turn away from sin, what God says is a sin, and turn back to the ways of God, His ways, His laws, His truth.
In the New Testament, John the Baptist spoke of repentance over and over: "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." I'm sure this verse sound familiar to you.
In Luke 13: 3, the Messiah says, "...unless you repent you will all perish."
Paul also speaks of repentance, as well as baptism unto repentance. In Acts 2:38, Peter and the other apostles are speaking to the multitudes gathered, saying, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of the Son of God for the remission of sins; and ; you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Verse 39, " For the promise is to you and your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call. And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying , 'Be saved from this perverse generation." Verse 41, "Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them."
Stay tuned in, I would like to continue on this subject of repentance unto baptism, it is a very interesting subject filled with wonderful information. I pray you are interested in being saved.
