Sin

Hello, I'm so happy you have decided to join us again.



The subject today is a very touchy subject. Many people have their own understanding of what sin is. Well since we are dealing with truth, let's see what the bible says about sin.

According to the footnotes for Romans 3:23, where Paul said, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, it says sin is:

1. Transgression: an overstepping of the law, the devine boundary between good and evil (Palms 51:1).


2. Iniquity: an act inherently wrong, whether expressly forbidden or not (Rom.:1:21-23).


3. Error: a departure from right (Rom.1:18) and (1 Jn.3:4).


4. Missing the mark: a failure to meet the devine standard (Rom.3:23)


5. Tresspass: the intrusion of self-will into the sphere of divine authority (Eph.2:1).


6. Lawlessness: or spiritual anarchy (Tim.1:9).


7. Unbelief: or an insult to the devine veracity (Jn. 16:9.

It's up to us as an individual, if we want to make up our own understanding of what sin is, or do we believe what God says. Meditate on this.
